The 2027 Traverse draws 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque from a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder built to run on regular 87-octane fuel, and an 8-speed automatic handles the shifts. Z71 models send power through Chevrolet’s Advanced Twin-Clutch AWD System and add Terrain Mode plus Hill Descent Control, while LT, RS and High Country buyers can choose front-wheel drive or step up to all-wheel drive.
Every trim leaves the factory with the Trailering Package and a maximum towing rating of 5,000 pounds, whether you are pulling a pontoon to the Intracoastal or a camper toward I-75. The dash of every 2027 Traverse splits into an 11-inch driver information screen behind the wheel and a 17.7-inch diagonal touchscreen in the center. Compatible phones connect through standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and charge on the standard wireless pad, and Google built-in compatibility, with a select service plan, adds Google Maps, Google Play and the available Google Gemini assistant.
For 2027, Chevrolet also introduces an Interior Camera, standard on the RS and High Country and an available extra on the LT and Z71. Its Cabin Glance view puts a live feed of both rear rows on the center screen, handy on the drive home from Venice Beach with a full crew. The RS and High Country also bring a Bose premium 12-speaker audio system.

Seven passengers fit in any 2027 Traverse, and swapping in the LT’s available second-row bench makes room for an eighth. Third-row riders get 32.1 inches of legroom, and standard tri-zone automatic climate control with rear air conditioning helps the whole cabin handle a Venice July.

Upholstery starts with premium cloth on the LT, with Evotex available, while the Z71 pairs Jet Black Evotex with the new Oregon color, the RS uses Evotex Ultra with Torch Red accents, and the High Country adds Natural Tan accents and real wood decor. The cargo hold offers 22.9 cubic feet with all seats upright and grows to 98 cubic feet once both rear rows fold.

Styling changes noticeably from one trim to the next. The Z71 shows its off-road intent with a skid plate, an off-road suspension and all-terrain tires on 18-inch high-gloss black machined-face wheels, and the RS goes dark from its 22-inch high-gloss black painted wheels up to its blacked-out grille, black roof rails and black badging.
The High Country is the headline for 2027: new 22-inch high-gloss black machined-face wheels lead the changes, Tritan Satin now accents the grille and headlamps, and a new High Country badge appears on the front doors and liftgate. Two new paint colors also arrive, with Trillium Green Metallic offered across the lineup and Twilight Blue reserved for the RS and High Country.
